Today the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors appointed a new constable for the Kyrene Justice Precinct. Bridget Bellavigna was selected from a qualified pool of applicants for the position that was vacated by Ben Halloran December 31st, 2021.
Bellavigna is a Navy veteran who says she believes in the principle “service before self.” She has been a small business owner, real estate broker and property manager since 2004. Bellavigna says her professional experience has endowed her with a great deal of knowledge about writs, evictions, and handling of personal property.
“I’m happy I was able to nominate a candidate who understands the intricacies of property disputes and has compassion for both the tenant and landlord,” said Supervisor Jack Sellers, District 1. “While constables are not law enforcement officers, their job can be difficult, and they are an integral part of the justice system. I believe Ms. Bellavigna’s military background has prepared her to make ethical and sound judgements as constable.”
The Kyrene Justice Precinct encompasses the Ahwatukee Foothills, portions of Tempe and the Town of Guadalupe. It straddles portions of Supervisorial Districts 1 and 5.

“Constables make important decisions that impact our communities” said Supervisor Steve Gallardo, District 5. “Bridget Bellavigna’s experience working with people of all demographics gives her a unique perspective to make fair judgements. I think she is the right person for this role.”
Bellavigna will fill the position through the remainder of the term which runs through the end of December 2022.
